Terms of Service

Leaf a Tip (leafatip.com) is operated by TYPICAL LLC, a Missouri limited liability company doing business as REQS TECH. By creating an account or using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

Leaf a Tip lets people send small voluntary payments to creators who have set up a page. We provide the platform; we are not a party to the relationship between a sender and a creator.

Support sent through the site is a voluntary gift. It is not a purchase, a donation to a registered charity, an investment, a loan, or a promise of anything in return. Creators may offer nothing at all in exchange, and we do not guarantee, endorse, or supervise what any creator says or does.

You must be at least 18 years old. You are responsible for your account credentials and for everything that happens under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it current.

Sending requires credit, which you buy in advance. Credit is what you can spend; it is separate from what your card is charged.

For every $5 of credit you buy, one Low Five — $1 — is added on top and goes to Leaf a Tip. That markup is our only revenue, it is shown on the purchase page and itemized on your Stripe receipt before you pay, and it is what keeps the platform running.

Credit is non-refundable. It has no cash value, cannot be redeemed for money, cannot be transferred to another account, and cannot be withdrawn. Buy only what you intend to send. This does not affect any rights you have under law that cannot be waived.

• Sends are between $5 and $50 each.
• Credit is deducted from your balance, and the full amount transfers to the creator. We take no cut of a send.
• Sends are final. Once support reaches a creator we cannot reverse it, and we do not offer refunds on completed sends.
• If a transfer fails for a technical reason, the credit is returned to your balance automatically and the attempt is shown in your history.
• Any message you attach is visible to the creator and must follow the content rules below.

To receive money you must complete identity verification with Stripe and accept the Stripe Connected Account Agreement. Until verification is complete your page cannot accept support.

• Money you receive is held in your Stripe account, not by us. You choose when to transfer it to your bank.
• You are solely responsible for any taxes on what you receive. We do not withhold taxes. Stripe may issue tax forms where required.
• You must not offer or imply that support buys any specific good, service, or benefit that would make it a sale rather than a gift.
• You are responsible for everything on your page, including your bio, images, and any links you add.

Keep your page, profile picture, links, and messages appropriate. Do not post or link to content that is graphic, violent, sexually explicit, hateful, harassing, or that targets people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation.

Do not impersonate anyone, infringe anyone’s intellectual property, post another person’s private information, or use the site to promote illegal activity or the sale of regulated goods.

We may remove content or suspend a page that breaks these rules, and we may do so without notice where the content is seriously harmful.

• Using the site to launder money, evade sanctions, or process payments for anyone else.
• Fraudulent purchases, stolen payment methods, or deliberate chargeback abuse.
• Creating accounts to inflate activity, manipulate the platform, or evade a suspension.
• Attempting to break, overload, scrape, or gain unauthorized access to the site.

You can stop using the site at any time and ask us to close your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that we reasonably believe is being used fraudulently, or where we are required to by law or by our payment providers. If we close your account, unspent credit is not refunded except where the law requires it, and any money already received by a creator is unaffected.

The site is provided as-is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or discontinue features. We depend on Stripe and Google Firebase, and outages in those services will affect the site.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We are not responsible for the conduct of any user or creator, or for what anyone does with money they receive.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or the site is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty US dollars. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or lost data.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TYPICAL LLC and its members and agents from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the site, your content, or your breach of these terms.

We may update these terms. If a change is material we will update the date above and notify account holders by email. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Missouri, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
